A Noble Masquerade written by Kristi Ann Hunter is a novel of the Regency era. The book narrates the story of Miranda Hawthorne who is a lady who hates etiquettes of the era. A Noble Masquerade can be simply put into words as light hearted and heart warming. It is a kind of book that the readers would want by their side on a pleasant evening with a hot cup of tea. Readers would like the book if they loved Pride and Prejudice and Edenbrooke. The author has beautifully listed out the lady etiquettes of the Regency era in the novel. There has been many perfect rules for a lady as keeping the perfect poise in any situation, not turning out the guests in a rude way or not crying out in a social gathering or society. The happy family of Miranda Hawthorne will also be heart warming.

The character of Miranda Hawthorne will be very much admired by the readers as she is not only clumsy and innocent but also brave and valiant. Lady Miranda knows her worth and how to use it though she stumbles in certain decisions. The best of the novel was her letters when she poured out all her tensions in it and in return got letters from Marshington.

Ryland Marshington was also a well planned character. In spite of being a Duke, he worked as a spy for his country. And when he decided to leave the duty of being a spy, he did not forget his friends who assisted him when he worked as a spy. The Duke hired them as his works in his house. The loyalty of his workers for him shows his integrity.

Overall this is a highly recommended Regency Novel. The book will ease out any tension and lead you to a different mindset with its humour. The readers can get a clear idea of the Regency Era through this novel and they will be sure to enjoy it.

How to prepare the chocolate topping for the pudding?

The preparation for the chocolate pudding is super easy! What you all want is cooking chocolate. With just one ingredients you can make your dessert or pudding look well groomed. You can find the video of it’s method in our Youtube channel FLAVOURSOME

Double boil the cooking chocolate and pour it in small scoops. Let it cool down and place it in the refrigerator so it sets. When the double boiled chocolate is set take the balls of chocolate out from the scoops. To the leaf shaped chocolate topping watch out the video in our Youtube channel. Link mentioned above.

Other topping ideas…

Toppings makes a dish look exceptional! And while choosing a topping for desserts you should be extra cautious as the ideal topping for the dishes can make wonders. For a chocolate pudding toppings as whipping cream, cherries, chocolate shavings, chocolate chips, frozen berries and chocolate biscuit crumbs will be remarkable.

Tips for a perfect beaten cream:

Though whipping cream is a delicious, easy and a smart option for toppings, some find it a bit hard to get a perfect beaten fluffy whipping cream. If you are wondering about the same confusion, it all starts with drops of water. Before pouring the whipping cream to a bowl to beat, check if there are any drops of water in it. If you find even a tiny drop of water be sure that the whipping cream would not get beaten or be fluffy to pipe on a dish as a topping. Same goes with the beater. Clean the bowl and beater well with a cloth before you start beating. If there was no water droplets in the bowl or beater you will get the perfect beaten and fluffy whipping cream you are thinking of.

Ways to layer the Jelly Custard Pudding…

One of the unique way to layer the pudding is mentioned below in our method to make this Layered Jelly Custard Pudding. If you would prefer any other way to layer the jelly there are two more different methods to layer them. You just have to slant the glass to a side and pour the 1st layer of the jelly custard pudding, refrigerate and take it out if it is set. Pour the 2nd layer of the jelly pudding as well in the slanted glass. (Don’t turn around the glass as we have mentioned below) and refrigerate it. Finally, when the 2nd layer is set pour the last layer and refrigerate it.

The second and easy way to layer the jelly custard pudding is,

Take out the serving glasses and pour the 1st layer without slanting the glass. Keep it straight. Refrigerate. Pour the 2nd layer. Refrigerate and finally the 3rd layer and refrigerate it as well. You can watch the video of this pudding in our Youtube channel, The link is mentioned at the end of this post.

Ingredient swap…

If you are not in much liking for jelly or custard puddings we have more options for you to try. Agar Agar and condensed milk are two ingredients that we would recommend. Agar Agar can be cooked using jaggery or any food colouring and layer it in the glasses as we have mentioned above. The condensed milk will be a better option if you mix it with gelatin and layer it as we have mentioned in the post.

Toppings for the Layered Jelly Custard Pudding…

Toppings are always the cherry on the cake. With its final touch and beauty toppings totally alter the appearance of a dish. You can try it with this Layered Jelly Custard Pudding too. We have used pomegranate and grapes here as topping. If you want any additional toppings that would suit the dessert, strawberries dipped in chocolate, whipping cream, crushed nuts, raspberries and chocolate syrups would be a better option. If you are using any chocolate flavoured pudding instead of strawberry, chocolate sprinkles, crushed biscuits or pieces of chocolate would be great as toppings.
